Dry skin on your feet is a condition that involves peeling and chapped skin. Increasing dryness makes the skin less elastic and cracks appear more readily. From an aesthetic perspective, the feet look worse and itching or eczema may also occur. Untreated dry feet often result in problems with calluses, corns and cracked heels.

A callus is an area of hard and thickened skin. Calluses normally occur on the heel, the ball of the foot or on the big toe.
Calluses lack well-defined edges and the appearance of the skin changes character and frequently turns yellowish or brown.
There is also decreased sensitivity in the affected area compared to other parts of the foot.

Corns are also called clavi (sing. clavus). But normally they are referred to as corns. A corn is a particularly shaped callus that occurs on thin skin. Corns often appear on the little toe but can also occur on the big toe, between toes (soft corns) and on the ball of the foot.
That is, mostly where there is contact between the foot and the shoe. It is the body’s way of building up protection against pressure and wear. Gradually, layer upon layer of skin builds up and if this is allowed to continue for some time, a corn forms (a callus with a hard centre) that, due to the external pressure, pushes down into the lower, sensitive layers of skin.
As a rule, this causes pain. The pain is almost always so noticeable that it becomes difficult to wear shoes and walk around normally.

WHAT ARE CRACKED HEELS?
Cracked heels occur when the skin around the heel cracks. Cracked heels are a very common problem and affect women as well as men of all ages.
WHAT IS THE CAUSE?
We expose our feet to a variety of stresses in terms of standing, walking, exercising and we do not always wear comfortable shoes. If the skin on the feet is also dry and therefore less elastic, slight cracks occur as the skin cannot stretch to allow the heel to expand slightly when it is subjected to pressure and stress.

People with diabetes may suffer from decreased sensation in their feet and decreased blood circulation.
It is important to know if you have decreased sensation in your feet and circulation problems as you are at greater risk of suffering from foot ulcers. Therefore, make a habit of taking care of your feet and checking them every day.
Pay attention to redness, dry skin, hard skin (calluses), cracks, swellings and changes in the condition of your nails. Also, ask your doctor to check the condition of your feet at your next visit if you are unsure.

Footmender All in One and Footmender All in One Diabetic replace former treatment options for dry feet, calluses, corns and cracked heels as the product contains all these features/modes of action in one single product.
Treatment is easier and less costly and you only need one daily treatment. You will see an effect within a few days, often after the very first treatment.
Problems with dry feet, hard skin (calluses), corns and cracked heels (heel fissures) are very common.
Problems with dry feet, hard skin, corns and cracked heels are very common and affect men and women of all ages, and become more common with age. According to a consumer survey conducted by Novus*, 6 out of 10 people from 18 to 79 years of age said they had experienced these complaints. In a consumer survey conducted by Novus* on people with diabetes, these problems are even more common as 8 out of 10 women and 7 out of 10 men said they had experienced these complaints.
Taking care of your feet is as important and natural as taking care of your face or your hands. Caring for your feet may be much more important, as your feet are subjected to much greater strain than your face. According to the surveys referred to above, it is apparent that people who treat their feet frequently choose the wrong type of product, which is not designed for feet, or treat their feet too infrequently and for too short a period.
Pharmacy survey
In a major pharmacy survey* in 2014, pharmacy staff evaluated Footmender for treating their dry feet, hard skin, corns and cracked heels. The results show that 9 out of 10 of them were very satisfied with their test results and would recommend Footmender for effective foot care to their customers.

I have tried many creams in the past and was a little bit sceptical that it would be any better. I was proved wrong, this is amazing and made such a huge difference already.I’m looking forward to sandal season.
I couldn’t be without this amazing foot cream. My feet are now unrecognisable since the first application. The hard, cracked lizard like skin has been transformed. I would thoroughly recommend Foot Mender to anyone.
Recommended to use by my chiropodist. Followed instructions and have not noticed a huge difference in the condition of my dry skin.

Apply Footmender once a day until the desired result is achieved. This usually means one week of treatment. In case of severe problems two to three weeks treatment may be necessary.
Use two pump strokes per foot. Rub in Footmender for at least one minute, preferably in the evening (for practical reasons). Generally, you will notice an improvement after the first treatment. The length of treatment depends on how severe the problems are when the treatment is started and on the degree of healing desired. Once the course of treatment is complete, we recommend switching to maintenance treatment to maintain the good results.
Without maintenance therapy there is a risk that the problems will gradually return. A suitable treatment interval is one to two times per week.
